Specially designed insect cage
- the Bug Studio
Professional
Enjoy watching
your pet stick insects, mantids, beetles, and large caterpillars in the Bug
Studio Professional. This cage has been designed by Dorothy Floyd, the UK's
top breeder of stick insects!
This cage has four see-through PVC
sides but instead of being completely solid they are full of specially made
holes, allowing the stick insects to breathe and climb easily.
The sides are clear and so, unlike dark netting enclosures, it is easy
to see the insects in the cage. The Bug Studio Professional has no
netting and is much stronger than flimsy netting enclosures. Access is via
the top sliding lid.
The Bug Studio Professional is
dispatched fully assembled and so is ready for immediate use!
Keep the
cage clean by lining the base with a Liner, replaced weekly.
Keep
the bramble fresh in a wet
Pot and Oasis. The leaves should be
misted every day by squirting water horizontally through the mesh
sides.
Remember that stick insects do best in a tall cage (at
least 46cm, 18" high) so that they have plenty of room to grow.

Ventilation Control Panel
|
Many stick insects do best in airy conditions and will thrive in
airy cages.
However, some species of stick insect
prefer less-ventilated conditions and so need the Ventilation Control Panel
attaching to the cage. This is a see-through panel with sticky pads that
attach to the outside of the cage.

Large lockable insect cage - the
Bug-Cage
The Bug-Cage is similar in size to the Bug Studio
Professional but has a lockable front door and two aluminium mesh
sides.
The see-through roof, front and back panels let in lots of light
and so visibility of the stick insects is excellent. These clear
panels are made from rigid PVC and so the cage is very
strong.
The door is hinged and is lockable (a spare
key is included). The cage can be used with the door at the front, or, for an
even more dramatic display, the cage can be turned around so that the door is
at the back.
The Bug-Cage has two thick aluminium mesh sides
which give the stick insects a good foothold to climb and also provide
the through-draught ventilation that they need.
Keep the cage
clean by lining the base with a Liner, replaced weekly.
The
Bug-Cage is supplied flat-packed with simple assembly instructions.
Assembly time is about ten minutes. This cage is manufactured by Small-Life

QBOX - ideal for storing eggs and observing small
creatures
The QBOX
is a crystal clear rigid box with a push-on lid. These features and the
overall dimensions, 73mm x 73mm x 80mm (tall), mean the QBOX is ideal for
storing and hatching out stick insect eggs, and for observing small creatures
such as caterpillars and garden snails.
QBOXES are dishwasher-safe. The
lids interlock with the bases, making the QBOXES stackable. QBOXES are sold in
packs of two, six and twelve. Liners to keep the QBOX clean are available too,
there are 32 liners in a pack.

Snail Centre Set
The Snail
Centre Set is ideal for the keeping of young Giant African Land Snails and
British Stripey Snails.
We recommend this container because it is easy
to keep clean by washing it with warm soapy water (and rinsing well). We have
the lids specially made and these include a ventilated area. It is important to
keep snails in clean conditions and so two soft Liners are provided (these are
machine washable). Soft Liners must be used because these cushion the impact
when a snail falls off the roof or side. (If a snail landed on a hard surface
it might crack its shell).
Snails need to drink water and so a Water Dish
is included.
